Speaking of your surface, we have been practicing all week in out indoor practice facility (Palmerio Center) it has the same type of turf as yall so hopefully our infielders will be used to how ground balls move off of it.
I also hope yall dont do like Auburn did last weekend and pitch around our best hitter, Hunter Renfroe. They didn't give him anything to hit all weekend. Im sure that Ziomek and Beede are up to the challenge and should be some good battles between them and Hunter.

This is the most excited I have been for a series since LSU opening weekend.

If it is wet, they'll need to also practice sliding on it. I can already hear the complaints if someone gets thrown out for oversliding a base.

The last 4 weekends of the season are ALL HUGE FOR US.

Aaand this is why we should have thrown Ross or Jacob Friday night. Could have easily been a shutout in game one.

??
Pollo threw great in that game and gave us an excellent chance to win. Just couldn't get a timely hit.

What are the thoughts on State possibly hosting? I think you guys steal one from Vandy, 2/3 from Bama, and go 3-3 vs Ole Miss and USCe.... that would put yall at 16-14.

Pollo walks too many. Stats say that comes back to bite you. Couple that with no game today because of rain we should have went for the kill on Friday. Best pitcher Friday and second best Saturday or whenever we get the chance to play again to get at least the series win then let the slight statistical chance of a 3rd game go to Pollo. The series win is what we wanted and Cohen put us behind the 8-ball Friday night by NOT pitching Graveman or Ross. Simple as that.

If ANYTHING, it was in our best interest to throw Pollo against Ziomek -- who was by far our biggest match up problem NO MATTER who else we threw. Pollo gave up 3 runs and Vandy earned all 3. He pitched well enough to give us a chance to win.
Seeing how we've got 2 left, with our two best pitchers left, I still like our chances to get at least one of the next two. If you throw one of the other guys and get beat by Ziomek(which is likely), we'd be totally screwed.
What are you even talking about? We are playing today.
Doesn't make sense when their first and second pitchers are BETTER than our first and second pitchers.
You totally lost me on all this.

I think we would have a pretty good chance at 16-14, but I think we will make 17-13, which would be a lock IMO
Then again, it's a baseball committee, so who the F knows? If they have any common sense, SEC conference record will play a minimal role in the decision-making process with the scheduling discrepancies now in the 14 team league...
