VOLS since 2010
Football: 0 NC, 0 SECC, 0 East Titles, 4 bowl appearances
Basketball: 0 NC, 3 NCAAT appearances, 2 Sweet 16s, 1 Elite 8, 0 SECC, 0 SECTC
Baseball: 0 NC, 0 CWS, 0 SECC, 0 SECTC, 0 NCAAT appearances
Those okayish basketball results may keep us out, but it is a very strong resume for the cellar.

According to one magazine that awarded "national titles" back then. Five other teams won the title the same years.

Time and time again, it has been discussed that while the FWAA and NFF have value as selectors, they still don't hold the same weight as AP and UPI.
NFF and FWAA were notorious for having a differencing of opinion in the 50s and 60s. 1970 was the last time that happened.

Take it up with the NCAA. It's not up for debate.

Auburn football has been very bad after losing a title in under 22 seconds.
Tre Mason just broke another 20 yarder.

Vandy has 4 "National Championships" from the Powerhouse days of Dan McGugin in the WWI & Roaring 20s, no one gives a shite & no one gives a shite about Ole Miss' "titles" of the late 50s & early 60s either.
Also Vanderbilt football all time record is 534-584-43 for a 47.85% winning percent. Far from great obviously but not as bad as what was quoted by a poster earlier.

Why do we include Tennessee, Bama, etc. Natty's from the old days but not Ole Miss'?

That's because Vanderbilt was never selected by a major poll per the NCAA records book. Ole Miss was in 1960.
Edit: It's also worth noting that the FWAA always waited until AFTER the bowl games, unlike the AP, AFCA, and NFF.

It is up for debate. NCAA has no say. They just list champions that have been named by the various selectors over the years. You will not win this argument. I know this subject well.

Auburn's baseball program is on the rise. Swept Florida last weekend and beating Ga Tech today. Men's B-ball is slowly improving in the wins column from year to year. Our football team made it to the Sugar bowl. If a Missouri fan thinks that's extremely bad what does she think of Missouri's last two seasons?
The conference must be damn good and Missouri kicked out if Auburn is at the bottom. JS.

Apparently not. You should look at the NCAA records book.
If it's okay for a blue blood like Ohio State to claim 1961 based on the FWAA and 1970 based on the NFF then it's okay for Ole Miss. You can't have it both ways.
