This is so pathetic. For one of the years 5 teams were “awarded” some kind of title.
The other one not even the NCAA puts it in this very inclusive list.

JV football in that era. Always hated the northern bias, but it was real til the 30’s.
Can’t renember the details, but A&M won possibly the most important game that really opened the doors to respect for southern teams from the press.
I’ll look it up when I can.. I’m always surprised how few zags aren’t aware of this. For all the shite y’all get, that’s a benchmark game in CFB history & to yalls credit A&M pulled it off.

You mean the Jan 1926 Rose Bowl when Alabama beat Washington.
