I like the back and forth with the Aubie posters. I feel it is expected, and they have several really good posters who take it in stride. And I have several AU grads in my family and they get too upset if AU loses. Therefore, I actually pull for them a lot, just so they don't lose it. When AU is good, I pull for them to lose, because I don't like to hear about them all of time either.

As an Auburn fan, I pull for Alabama 364 days a year...win the games you're supposed to win and then beat Bama Thanksgiving weekend, and you don't have to worry about being left out.
As for pull against, I pull against ND unless they're playing UCF or Jawja; I pull against UCF unless they're playing Jawja, and I pull against Jawja unless they're playing Satan and his minions.
