To answer the question though:

OM most impressive

UGA most disappointing. How UGA can not field a good baseball team every year is beyond me.

Mizzou may end up being decent, USM has a good baseball program.

USM is a top 30 team. Getting swept to open the season still fricking stings though.

I'll exclude my team for the sake of discussion. LSU impressed me the most. Their offense is going to produce. I wasn't sold on their pitching staff though. Losing Gausman was pretty big, and I thought they might struggle with every starter moving up a day in the rotation. They pitched an outstanding series though. They should feel very good coming out of that series.

To MaroonNation: great job sweeping Portland, but Ole Miss beat 2 All-American starters and held a 2012 Super Regional team to 4 runs on the weekend. Your weekend was not more impressive.

Yeah LSU pitched well for sure. 3 earned runs all weekend. 1 from the starters.

Ole Miss most impressive. UGA least impressive.

Southern Miss is a legit baseball program. Mizzou is not, a sweep was probable from the beginning, especially in Hattiesburg.

So Miss swept Mizzou this weekend?

My good gosh, what did Mike Slive do to us.

Correct. Mississippi is a baseball state.

MSU is No. 5, OM is No. 13, and USM is No. 23. Oh, and Delta State is No. 1 in Div. II.

Pretty dang impressive.

ETA: I really wish that MSU and OM would play Delta State again.
