I know Alabama’s baseball program is a laughing stock, but dick riding Texass isn’t a good look.
Especially when LSU beat Texas the last time they faced off in the natty

Alabama leads LSU head to head in baseball, basketball, and football.
Texas has almost 1,000 more wins than LSU all time and almost twice as many CWS appearances.

No one can objectively compare Texas's and LSU's numbers and come out with LSU as the better overall program. LSU baseball barely existed before 1985

LSU isn’t even in the Top 15 of all time wins. Barely crack the Top 20.
The more I dig into this, the more I’m convinced there isn’t a single quantifiable measurement to deem LSU the most prestigious baseball program. In fact, that’s grossly inaccurate and would be the equivalent of Florida proclaiming themselves to be the most prestigious football program in the SEC.

LSU’s resume doesn’t touch that. Sorry.
ETA: And that doesn’t even account for the near 1,000 win cushion.
