Frank did a lot more than hire coaches - his commitment is what built those other programs. Had Wilson Matthews as the point man for the donor program that became the Razorback Foundation which financed the building program of all the facilities.
Got us on National TV back when there were only 1 or 2 football games a week.
Got us into the SEC. Youngsters don't realize that if it hadn't been for Ann Richards Texas and Texas A&M would have came with us.

I can't hate the Zooker too much, he was our coach when I got into CFB as a kid. And beat FSU in Tally.

He got fired for winning 8 games a year, and now Disney gators are saying we should give Billy a 10 year extension if he wins 8 games this season

That is how in the end you end up with an entire fan base of lowered expectations theCAW
It happens imperceptibly and all of the sudden you notice that two decades or so have passed and what used to be “we will let this slide for ONE Year “ becomes “look at how we manage to be over.500 in conference we have to give it even more time”

3 straight losing seasons and likely 4.
If Napier wins 5-6 games the Disney gators and UAA will cry “waaaaah waaaah the SEC gave us too hard a schedule, not fair to billy!” And since 2025 is pretty much exactly the same (except at Miami and with usf instead of UCF, which under Golesh might actually be a harder game by then) they’ll say the same if he wins 4-6 games.
It’s not inconceivable that Napier could be the coach of Florida in 2026 after leading the gators to 4 out of 5 straight losing seasons
