so the highest attended game ever at a big baseball school is a little higher than one women's bball game. congrats.

i looked at the home games and id assume that ut was the biggest home game this year. SO opening game of baseball had 3,000 more people at it than womens basketball that holds 12,000 or so.
plus tickets to a womens game are like a dollar while tickets to baseball are 10 for standing room only.

so I just took the attendance stats from NCAA.org for the 2008 baseball and womens basketball seasons and baseball averaged about 200 more fans per game across the Southeastern Conference than women's basketball. Now LSU averaged seven thousand and change while several other SEC schools were in the 4500-6000 range. Tennessee averaged nearly 10,000 more than the second team (Vanderbilt) in women's basketball. Assuming we throw out LSU from baseball and Tennessee from women's basketball, the gap gets even bigger. So there you have it. Baseball is easily supported more across the SEC (except in Tennessee) than women's basketball. Now I'm getting back to my girlfriend and my friend Evan Williams. Peace.

Nice way to try and cover up the fact that you are obviously not getting laid.

yes, I'm obviously not since I'm sitting here arguing with you jabronis about whether women's basketball is important or not, which it obviously isn't.

You had more for the super regional.

yea i know but I figured id take the reg season game and that was the opening day at the box. I believe we had more for uf than that game but it did the job to show how much womens basketball sucks.

Womens basketball is a MUCH bigger TV sport than baseball is. I hate womens basketball, but it does have a bigger following nationwide.
Look, I realize you guys hate womens basketball. But outside of the communities that have a respectable program in the south, nobody cares about college baseball.

Yea, I also think Les Miles inclusion on that list is a little questionable.

Women's basketball has grown a lot, and it gets a ton of media exposure, more so than college baseball.
If we are going to include all sports, you have to include Mary Wise, volleyball coach at Florida. She has coached at UF for 18 years and has won 18 consecutive SEC championships, which I believe is the longest streak for any SEC sport. She has taken the team to 7 Final Fours and has winning percentage of 91%.

If they didn't show woman's basketball on TV the only other woman's spot to get air time would be woman's tennis.
You could find guys playing college inter-murals that could beat up on woman's college basketball teams. That is why it is not interesting.
College Baseball would be more popular if it was pushed harder on national tv.

Dawgorama backs nothing with legit facts.
He tried to say that the stats pointed out that Ole Miss's season was a fluke last season, when they clearly indicate otherwise.
Dude's either a hack or just plain stupid.

He actually argued this shite? Yall were one of the best teams in the country at the end of the year. I figure he could sympathize with you on that point. (UGA '07)
