By the way guys, doesn't it feel good to have a thread that isn't constant flaming?

So is the assumption then that Sumlin et al. will be unable to recruit at a high level once he leaves?
If so, why is that the assumption?
There's a difference between recruiting well and lucking into a guy who wins the heisman after mack brown tells him he should play defensive back.

So are you saying we're not recruiting well?

we've been a top 10 team the past 2 years and have improved. yeah, we've only been to Atlanta once, but we also had to wade through some tough schedules the past 2 years.
next year we have one of the more favorable schedules and I have no doubt we will be better next year so we can definitely make a run.

only a select number of schools win championships.
this doesn't even make sense. all of the schools that have NCs didn't have one at some point.

UGA or A&M are the best answers.

If LSU can get themselves a QB, who can do more than just be a game manager, i say LSU.

Of the group USCe would have the best chance next year imo. After that I could see UGA or A&M getting to that level.

UGA or TAMU. That said, Alabama, LSU and UF all are likely to win another before anyone else.
Correct answer.

Georgia is very due. May take a new head coach to get it done imo.

Next year: USC
Next 3 years: A&M
Next 10 years: UGA
Next 3 years: A&M
Next 10 years: UGA

Any of six teams in the SEC will have a shot at the MNC if the past few years of rankings are anything to go by. Let's take next year for example. Alabama, LSU, FL, UGA, A&M, and USC will all have a shot especially since all will be ranked somewhere around the top fifteen to start the season. Therefore, for the question
UGA, A&M, and USC have the best chance next year - after that, who knows. As long as Sumlin is at A&M, I will feel good about being in position to play for one. That is really all any team can ask.
As for next year, I think A&M is a long shot due to defensive losses, but I also didn't think our DL had a prayer in Hell of holding up this year so I am no Nostradamus.
