Redneck is negative IMO
Hillbilly is positive IMO

Hillbilly is just a made up stereotype

Most mountain people are hard working, self reliant, honest and love family and God. People that live off the land and love it. People that only take what they need and leave the rest. People that don't give a sh!t what a bunch of douches on a message board think about them.

See what I/we OM fans have said ... and NO its not just because it's State.

It is because it's TRUE. Camo is their houndstooth.

ETA: Linking it again incase you didn't have a chance to see the first one.

Easily State

Sadly I would say either Alabama or Kentucky.

After I graduated I took my girlfriend to a UK Basketball game where they were selling the student section tickets to the general public over the holidays. I actually saw a grown woman (who had undoubtedly just left the holler) shove a small child into a concrete wall to get first in line. Some people would be truly shocked by what you would see in the mountains between WV, KY, TN, and VA. And a lot of those same people cheer for these teams!

As OKTC pointed out.... Kentucky is just Alabama in a winters coat!

All of the comments from the Ole Miss folks trying to call out State are just comical. We have some redneck students and so do you, but the real rednecks come in the form of sidewalk fans. You have us beat there by a long way because of your confederate flag use.
Having been to all SEC stadiums for a game, it is easily Bama and UT with no one else being close.

Proudly. Grew up never having to buy from the grocery store cause we had our own food. Grew up playing music on the front porch on summer nights. Not a bad way to live.

It would have to be one of the Mississippi schools.

No. I'd say that Bama, Tennessee, and LSU are higher than State and especially us do to moron sidewalk fans that may have never stepped onto campus.

The Miss. schools are 2nd/3rd. Bama (I can admit it)/Arky/AU/LSU are interchangeable 4th-7th. GA/SC fall after that.

bullshite you can admit it. Bama is without question in the Top 3. Find an Ole Miss fan that is even close to some of the stupid bullshite you'll see from some Bama's fans?

Aggies have a lot of deer lease rednecks and Cypress/cinco/katy trash fan( White sunglasses and balls on trailer hitch) but those people dont get in so they take the entire course offerings at Blinn.

People who grow up Texas fans are what i refer to as TCU or Tech Students.
