So you think if every SEC school beefs up their OOC schedule that will result in more SEC teams making the NCAA tournament?

No, I'm just saying that listing high numbers for SEC football while listing more numbers for SEC basketball just proves the SEC cares a whole lot more about football than it does about basketball.

And I'm still saying getting into the tourney is harder, just that using the SEC as an example doesn't necessarily prove the point.

oh yea its not even close. its so easy to make a bowl plus you know once you hit 6-6 you are in assuming tie ins.

basketball not so much a selection committee that plays favorites could frick you, same in baseball as we saw this year.

Much, much harder in basketball, especially for a Southern team, since baseball should be easy for a Southern team that cares about baseball.

Different mid majors make runs in basketball every year, lots more of them are capable of competing than in any other sport. Then you're also playing with 2 less major conferences in baseball since the Big East and Big 10 are basically taken out of the equation.

It's not even comparable, FSU has made 34 straight NCAA baseball appearances and have made a Super Regional 11 of the 13 years. FSU has also made 31 straight bowl games. It's been a huge struggle in basketball though, all while playing in a tough conference that's historically going to place a lot of teams in the basketball tourney
