DC, you may not care much for me, but I respect the heck out of you as a OM Poster, and agree with a lot of what you have to say at times.
You're a homer, and you're annoying sometimes, but you genuinely do come off as a nice guy. I can't hate that.
You also know a lot about MS high school football, even though you do think that everybody in Mississippi wants to grind their way into Starkville.

It would be easy for an up and coming coach to see MSU as a better launching pad than OM.
Please, Mullen may be the first and only coach from your school in history to actually get out of that coach's graveyard. One guy getting out of there alive isn't going to matter as much compared to the dozens that preceeded him and ended up worse than if they just waited a year or two for an offer from a different school. Your school completely kills coaching careers.

All I'm trying to do is get you to admit that MSU was no different than Ole Miss back in the 60's. You can't throw the "Ole Miss was racist in the 60's" card without taking into consideration we were made up of basically the same people MSU had back then. We were all Mississippi boys back then from the same towns.
In segregationist ideology there was NO DIFFERENCE between the administration at State, OLE MISS, or Southern Miss.
HOWEVER, Ole Miss gets the bad rep b/c of the Riots that occured when Merideth was admitted, as well as the Rebel flags and Dixie. Both of which were used to support segregation in the south.

I'm celebrating the fact it's Leach instead of Hud.

I'm aware. Everything I've been told has been centered around today/Wednesday.

If we DO, in fact, get Leach(which I hope)......both MS schools got an upgrade.

What's the Mississippi Coaches rumor mill producing today?
Leach to OM and Hud to MSU?
Leach to OM and Hud to MSU?

So, Rebs are arguing that Miss St is nationally perceived to be as racist as OM?
Probably, because as I said many think yall are our official name for the university, while Ole Miss is the nickname that everyone knows.

All schools should have integrated before being forced to. My argument was that Rhode Island was so well educated about Old Miss because of what happened in the 60's. Johnny Vaught refused to play black players after that. Even Bear Bryant called him out. I was born in Michigan to a Mississippi dad and Michigan mom. We moved back when I was three. My mom and her family versed me well in what happened here in the 60s. My point is that the state and mainly Old Miss is known in the north for many reasons. And not a lot of them are good
