To re-iterate what others have said:
A&M is historically and geographically tied to: LSU, Arky, Texas
OU and Mizzou are former Big 8 teams - so A&M doesn’t have real long term history with either

Are you drunk? Arkansas and LSU have played 67 times ?!
37 meetings BEFORE we joined the SEC in ‘92. In fact, there were several meetings that we were allowed to count toward our SWC standings.

That’s going to be hard because Georgia Auburn and Tennessee are all a higher priority to Florida

Both Bama and Florida have higher priorities tha LSU. You need to look at the wide shot not the telephone view

Tennessee will be classified top8 based upon program history

LSU will get what is available after all the necessary games are considered
Will get two out of 8&forfiet horns and okies plus one miss school or the hogs
Just my take from looking at all angles

Y’all didn’t play for 30 years before joining the SEC. That’s a whole generation indifferent to making that game happen.

There is no way Tennessee is relegated to bottom 8 so bama is off table for LSU
There is a lot of good thought out in by posters. It’s really hard to see what won’t work
It’s also extremely hard to get the balance and keep everyone happy

Pretty near impossible
The idea of not having divisions (through permanent divisions or rotating pods) and then trying to decide on two participants in a conference championship game flies in the face of fair play.
You're dealing with wildly different schedules from team to team. They all have different permanent opponents. With a 9 game conference schedule half will have more away games on top of the differences in out of conference schedules.
We will regularly have multiple teams with different schedules, similar records, different regional and national prestige. Ultimately winning a conference (which is fairly determined by games played) amounts to winning a tournament in which you win your bracket to get to and then win the championship. But when there are no brackets there's no real tournament and no legitimate conference championship.

This isn't going to happen. Divisions will remain but AU and Bama go east. We go to 9 games, which we should have already been at, and one perm crossver.
What should happen is there is no perm crossover. East plays east and rotates two teams from west every 2 years.
Bamas schedule with no perm corossover would be for example
Non conference game
Kentucky
Florida
Non conference game
Vandy
Georgia
South Carolina
Tennessee
Miss State-that years crossover
Arkansas-that years crossover
Non conference game
Auburn
This model keeps
AU-UGA
Bama-UT
Florida-UGA
Iron Bowl
It also adds back AU-Florida which auburn fans have been wanting for years and adds a UGA bama game every year.
In the west it preserves
Ole Miss-State
Arky-LSU
A&m-Arky
A&M-LSU
LSU-Ole Miss
it also adds
OU-Texas
Mizzou-OU
Mizou-Texas
Missou-A&M
This is a no brainer and has some great college games in there. We'll have saturdays where
Bama vs UGA
Aub vs Florida
A&M vs Texas
OU vs LSU
Arky vs Mizzou
