You're thinking of Virginia Tech which while a good team was not nearly as good of a team as this WVU team. We also beat Georgia and Florida that year.

And to show what a great coach he was after managing those feats he turned around and lost to very bad Vandy and South Carolina squads, coaching us right out of the SECE Championship and a Sugar Bowl berth.

We are until we get our DL together. I think our OL is salvageable (other than the first play they actually looked ok and they got better as the game went on). JG had a good game (his QBR was double what it was last season, had a 76 percent completion rate and 147 passer rating). WRs and RBs did good. But you can't win games by only having talented skills players.

This team needs to find a pass rusher AND soon. JJ Peterson just got to campus after missing the start of the school year and all of camp. However, if he's as good as billed we may be able to use him as a pass rusher only and that would paper over a lot of problems on defense.

Um...no? I said Mountaineers, didn't I? You all opened 2016 against the Appalachian State Mountaineers in a dominant 20-13 OT win. Butch can beat Mountaineers while Pruitt can't. Butch > Pruit, obviously.
