caulk this up as heat of the moment and natural instincts taking over to get lead runner. I'm sure in retrospect he is wanting a do over and throw to second for double play

Line drive directly at you is much harder to catch then left or right. You are taught make your first move back, always want to keep it in front of you and prevent extra base hits. Ball had top spin, so it was diving off the bat. when he recovered from his back 1st step he thought he still had a play but is was still diving. it was still close to being caught.


I feel for Arkansas this morning. the ups and downs for the 8th and 9th innings for both sides piled on the emotions. and to lose in a "what if" fashion will make the flight home miserable, and the offseason worse....

Wish we had reseeding at CWS. would have seen Arkansas at 1 and LSU 2 with Coastal Carolina at 3 and on LSU's side of the bracket. sucks we had to play each other on same side of the bracket and the 1st game of the CWS
