South Carolina’s a tough place to play

I have to disagree there. It's just like with 95% of all other CFB stadiums, in that it's tough when the team is good but when they aren't, it isn't. That's not a slight on SC since you can say the same about most places. I mean take bama for instance. The crowd at BDS isn't some big scary force, they just win all the time at home because they're by far the best team. WBS was dreadful in the 90s and most of the early 2000s. When spurrier got there and they became a legit good team, and a legit great team there for about 3-4 years, it was tough to play there because the team was real good. Now they've come back to earth and whaddaya know they don't win there as much.

WBS is known for blaring techno music and waving white towels, but I don't think that really makes it a tough place to play for a visiting team.

I agree WG_Dawg. Every school that cares about football is going to have a packed house and a loud stadium for a hyped game. But noise doesn't create running lanes or get off of blocks. Every year you see a team say that playing "at home under the lights" or something like that is going to make a difference. Once the ball is kicked and the players are on the field, it doesn't matter who is drunk and screaming in the stands.

It makes the fans who predict big upsets because of crowd noise look so dumb when their team gets steam rolled in front of all that noise

Yep.
I also laugh at when people say “they wanted it more”

No they were just a better team

2018 - #22 Aggies 26 Gamecocks 23 - which is exactly 2 SEC home games ago / Oct 13 2018

our close game with A&M ended in regulation, didn't need multiple OT or ill-timed gatorade baths.

But how many teams have had success against UGa and Clemson in the past 5 years?

I just spit my drink out because Tn has beat Georgia.

Don't forget 2014, in the first ever game broadcast on the new SEC Network.

shite man, sometime in 2013 prolly. I don’t remember. I’m not an encyclopedia or some shite. I’ve lived life throughout those years so my mind is full up and there wasn’t much room to start with.

WBS was dreadful in the 90s and most of the early 2000s.

1994 - UGA beats the Gamecocks by 3 points.

1996- USC beats UGA 23-14.

2000 - 1 week removed from snapping a 21 game losing streak, Quincy Carter's Heisman dreams and UGA's championship dreams come crashing down.

2002 - UGA needs a freak play by David Pollack and two USC fumbles in the end zone to beat a 5 win Gamecock team.

2004 - UGA comes back from being down 16 to win by 4 against a 6 win Gamecock team.

2008 - UGA beats a 7 win Gamecock team by a TD after a late fumble into the end zone.

UGA dominates the series, but most games in Columbia since USC joined the SEC have been tight, even when we're absolutely terrible.

2018 vs. Georgia - blown out after an entire offseason of hype for this game

2017 vs. Clemson "Never Again" - It happened again

Please expand on your question: by "blown out", do you mean games where USC got blown out, or just games that they actually lost?

In 2017, unranked USC went to Athens to take on then-unbeaten and #2-ranked UGA, in a game televised by CBS, and lost 24-10. Was 21-10 until about halfway through the 4th quarter when UGA kicked a FG. I think the line for the game was somewhere around 25-30 for UGA...

Would have been 31-10 if Kirby hadn't told Fromm to kneel on the ball inside the 5 in the closing minutes....something conveniently forgotten about that particular game in 2017. Kirby wasn't gonna embarrass his dawg....
