When did you stop rooting for your rival SEC teams against non conference teams?

Mine was the 2009 national title. Bama vs. Texas. I went into the game cheering for Alabama because it was good for the SEC, but when Alabama faked the punt and didn’t get it, it made me happy, and I have cheered against them in all playoff/national title games since.

I don't root for rivals because they are my rivals. Kinda like I root for Jesus, but never the devil.

I second this. I wouldn’t root for certain SEC teams against ISIS.

This place is a lot more fun when everyone is all worked up about losing. If the SEC goes 2 and whatever in postseason, that's hilarious. Let's do it. Of course the 2 are our playoff wins.

I hope LSU wins the Natty. But, I would never root for UGA to win shite. I hope Baylor beats them 76-0.
