They have no argument, so their fallback is what Chizik did at ISU. The fact that he is 3-0 is inconsequential...just what he did at another school who was in a different conference. Go figure.

Ahhhhhh I see now. Thought we were discussing time as head coaches in the SEC. Yuuuup you are correct. How has that helped him vs Gene Chizik teams so far? Just curious.

Go back and read the thread. It all started with someone saying Auburn has skull dragged MSU and it would be an upset for us to win. That's just not the case under Mullen. Someone pointed to the 2009 AU victory, so I mentioned it was Mullen's first year, which is why we are talking about it.

Mullen wants a signature win at MSU, with LSU and UA as strong as they are he can give that up, Ark was very strong under Petrino as well. AU had a major rebuilding job after Tubs so that's a chance for a win in his eyes, plus Auburn is the first major conference game on their plate the last few years.
I expect MSU to be just as tough this year if not tougher. I could see us going in and beating Clemson badly and losing to MSU if we aren't careful. Last year and the year before Mullen spent all of fall practice preparing for AU.
Also from a press standpoint Mullen is a Meyer protege so he's loved by much of the press and they want to see him do well. AU is not loved by the press due to the kid gloves we treat them with even ones that are hostile to AU.
I expect another tough tough game this year with MSU, on paper we should beat them but if we screw off they will be more than happy to take this one.

That doesn't answer my question. How has Mullens first year with 5 wins vs Chiziks first year of only 3 wins helped Mullen against Chizik teams?
