12 in the 2013 draft were the most for the SEC.

Apart from Evans, I don't see any of the guys listed potentially slipping out of the first. So it's possible the record is tied this year.
Any chance we see a 13th move into the first?

I could see CyKo or Purifoy falling out but I wouldnt be surprised if Beckham or Landry sneaks in.

I think CyKo and Purifoy will test outstanding.
Why isn't Landry getting much first round love?

in 2004 Miami had 6 first rounders themselves

Bama had close to that in 2011, right?
Or was it 4?

I don't think Landry is going to have the measurables of a lot of other guys in the draft........loaded WR draft this year.
If anything I'd pick Beckham, maaaaaaybe Mett to slide into the back of the first round. It all depends on what happens on draft day.

Alabama had 4 first rounders in 2011 & 2012, 3 in 2013

I think CyKo will get blasted for the Sugar Bowl. Purifoy had a good year but there a few corners who arent far behind. I would think Beckham is more likely to go in the first than Landry due to their measuarables. Landry is only 6 feet tall and doesnt have phenomenal speed, just great hands.

His speed never seemed to be lacking.
How different is he from Harvin?

I think there's a chance Evans slides out of the first. We'll see. I have read that he's been killing it in the forty, which was one my concerns.
His route-running is mediocre at best. Probably closer to bad. If he slips out I wonder if that would affect Landry's position at all.

By the way, Bama has the current longest streak of first round draft picks. This year will be the seventh straight year a Bama player is taken in the first round. That is still only half way to Miami's record which I believe is 14 years.

Off-topic, but I'm wasting time today so whatever.
What's LSU think about Hawkins draft stock? Are y'all thinking he'll declare next year?

Impressive, no doubt.
Gotta say, I'm pretty proud of A&M's run. It will be four years this April. Before 2011 I don't think we had a guy taken in the first since 2003.

Like I said, it just depends on what happens on draft day. Receiving tight ends are in vogue in the league right now, all it takes is the right team thinking they can turn Mike Evans into the next Jimmy Graham.
As for Landry, I don't think his lack of speed will hurt him as much as the fact that there are some really good receivers coming out this year. Landry reminds me of a smaller Anquan Boldin, and he'll make a team very happy, but if they were both on the board, I'd pick up Beckham first.

That seems kinda early, he'll only be a redshirt sophomore this fall.

Thought I read he was showing out really, really well.

Landrys speed wont hurt but like you said, with some of the other freaks at WR in the draft he may get looked over.
I think Hawkins will be taken in the top 3 rounds but the skys the limit for him. He could be the first OT when he decides to leave.
