What's the reason for the scorebug not being at the very bottom of broadcasts?

I assume there is a legitimate reason, since it's consistent across the board.

My best guess is a safety net for different screen resolutions? But I'm very much ignorant on the matter

ABC

CBS

ESPN

FOX

NBC

It's like they leave enough room for a ticker to show scores from other games, but there's never a ticker. If you watch a CBS NFL game, it's the same format, but with a ticker that goes to the bottom. FOX is unchanged. ESPN MNF is lower, but not at the bottom. No ticker.

I might be acoustic.

Maybe someday soon they will broadcast the games similiar to what Fubu has and people can choose to show it or not, scroll the information etc.

Even just a broadcast without the scoring would be cool, because then you can do that with a 3rd party service.

I yearn for the day I can once again watch a football game stream with no announcers. Just crowd and PA audio. Skycam is the closest thing today, but gets old after a while.
