You can't even sell half of your paltry 8000 ticket allotment for the Texas bowl. I thought yall were excited about your hot streak at the end of the year? Don't you want to build momentum for next year with your milquetoast unproven HC?

Didn't Texas make fun of yall a few years back? Say their bad years are better than your good years? Wouldn't this be a chance to prove them wrong?

In 2015, Arkansas took a mediocre Bret Bielema coached team to Houston and spanked the horns in a borderline erotica 31-7 arse beating. I was there, and both teams sold their allotment. In fact, the entire stadium was sold out.

Don't tell me you're on to basketball season. Your NIT caliber team can wait until after the bowl game, no matter how much you prefer the round ball to the pigskin

All of your message board fans appear confident yall will pound Texas. But when it comes time to put your money where your mouth is, none of you are traveling. Are you hypocrites, pussies, or just scared daddy longhorn will beat your arse one more time?

As an Arkansas fan, it is my duty to watch any opportunity for us to wax Bevo, and I stayed for every minute of the 31-7 arse beating in NRG Stadium. Do you not understand your solemn duty as football fans... To relish a beat down of the most hated school in college sports? Or are you just afraid you'll lose?

Help me understand the northern perspective. Thanks and Merry Christmas

That's a good question, let's see what the handful of Mizzou regulars say, maybe the Xmas break will be the reason.

My reason is that I’m too busy driving down to Alabama to nail your wife that weekend.

The Texas Bowl must not accept meth as currency to buy tickets.

They can't even fill 50% of their stadium, what makes you think they can sell bowl tickets

Only tards buy from the AD.

The seats are always shitty, you buy from Texas bowl box office or from secondary.

let me explain how this works

it is always important that your school sell it's allotment of tickets

makes your school look good AND it is something that bowls look at when they issue invites

teams that complain about "why did that school get a better bowl than we did? we played better and we DESERVE it..." have a hollow argument

bowls are about ticket sales and schools that have fans that will travel ALWAYS get better post season trips

I have been to the Independence Bowl twice. The first time was in 2003 and when I called to get tickets the just asked what team. I ordered 8 tickets for the Mizzou side and was stuck in the middle of 20,000 Hog fans. In 05 I bought the tickets online and was on the Mizzou side and It was a much better experience.

The allotment is bullshite. I asked for Mizzou tickets and ended up with the Hog allotment.

Most people buy their tickets online. What really matters is the overall attendance. In the past I am sure the allotment was important, but now I think they realize people are getting better seats and it is much easier to buy online.

I haven’t ordered tickets any other way since.

Outside of the state of Missouri we have more fans in Texas than any other state.

I worked in Texas for 4 months and was surprised how many Mizzou fans were there.

This is false. Period. Now the part about Mizzou fans not traveling very well is fair.

You didn’t go to the 2005 Independence Bowl where Mizzou beat the Cocks and had more fans.

We don’t travel well though

That may have been it worked in days of yore. Now the SEC office determines the bowl for each school.

So why are you guys concerned about a Yankee snowflake school that doesn't belong in the SEC?
