Isn't it interesting how for decades those of us in small towns where secrets can't hide saw first-hand all the shenanigans schools were doing, but the NCAA couldn't give two shits most of the time? My home town and entire area are about the poorest in the entire country, but they generate athletes. Guy gets scholarship to UGA, local businessman can't help but mention how he hooked up kid with a ride, cash, "job" for the summer, even stuff like a microwave and whatever he needed.... another kid who couldn't even afford to pay attention goes to Florida and comes rolling into town in a Navigator, to match the one his mom got. Athletes living in apartments with roommates that happen to be able to pay rent and maybe some extra stuff... And that's all above-board now lol.

Of course, Herschel and his beloved Trans Am always come to mind...

Would love for athletes to finally just fess up so we can hear all the real stories.
