Also the 2013 Vandy team was absolutely loaded and did not make it to Omaha.

I'd have to put the 2019 Vandy team in over 2013 due to making and winning the CWS. But that 2013 team was special.

2019 Vandy:
59-12 overall.
23-7 conference.
Won SEC regular season.
Won SEC tournament.
#2 National Seed.
Won CWS.

Notable statistics:
Led SEC in slugging.
Led SEC in OBP.
Led SEC in runs scored.
Led SEC in hits.
Led SEC in Triples.
Led SEC in home runs.
Led SEC in total bases.
Led SEC in batters struck out.
Led SEC in fielding percentage.

Notable players:
JJ Bleday - SEC POTY - 4th overall pick 2019 draft.
Austin Martin - 5th overall pick 2020 draft.
Kumar Rocker - 10th overall pick 2021 draft.

Negatives:
Got killed by Duke in game 1 of super regional.
Lost to Michigan in game 1 of CWS finals.

I'm not sure Carolina's 2011 team could beat the 2000 Gamecock ball club in a weekend series.

50-6 regular season and set the SEC record for wins at 25-5. Carolina was the overall #1 seed in the NCAAT before WTF'ing against ULaLa at Sarge Frye in a still-to-this-day shocking Super Regional loss.

Gamecocks 25-5 SEC best ever record in 2000 stood until Vanderbilt went 26-3 in 2013.

these teams have to be in the mix ...

1985 Mississippi State
1996 or 1997 LSU
2009 & 2013 LSU
2011 Florida
2013 & 2014 Vanderbilt
eta - 1997 Alabama

That 2011 South Carolina team was fun to watch, for sure. All those Ray Tanner teams played sound baseball.

2000 LSU baseball was pretty awesome. 52-17 overall, 19-10 in conference. Undefeated in post-season play. Outscored opponents in post-season play 146-57.

Yup. First year I really got into baseball at 7. Hell of a way to close out what we accomplished in the 90’s. Hope we can get back to Omaha this year.
