Well, 44 is more impressive than 22. But it will be interesting to see how Bama fans twist this.

Yeah I was trying to trump that other post considering as a whole the SEC (outside of UK) draws more fans to one game of football than a whole season of baseball or basketball.

the uk number is pretty crazy but imo its harder to win the football titles bc more schools put big time money up for that. The sec just isnt a basketball conf

football could be harder,but their 44 outweighs Alabama's 22. Their domination since the SEC's inception is incredible. Its because of them that many SEC schools show the interest that they do. They've won more SEC titles than the rest of the league combined. That's not taking anything away from what Alabama has done in football,but IMO, in just answering the question its UK and its not even close.

44 is obviously an incredible number, but there is case to be made that 22 football championships, in what is CLEARLY a football oriented conference, is better.

I'd say this is a question that will be relative to what each schools focus is on. That would be like asking what's more impressive, our 22 SEC titles or (insert Au's swimming titles.. Arky's track and field titles...Ga's gymnastic titles)

how many schools number 1 focus is basketball in the sec?1 possibly 2 bc of arky.

Do UK's championships count for regular season and tournaments separately? If so, how long has it been possible for a team to win 2 SEC championships in 1 season and how many seasons did they do this, if at all?
