I think the headquarters should be in North LA on the Red river. Easy to ship to the MS and gulf. Plus closer to the oil and natural gas

Another benefit of Mizzou. They have the good journalism school, so we would be great with spin control.

Dixie Entente strategy
1. Blockade Tennessee River to stop waterways from Mississippi River to Knoxville
2. Don't worry about blockading Mississippi River from LSU. Trade with Tennessee has been cut off already and you aren't going to be able to stop transportation in the gulf, yet.
3. Reconquer "rebel" lands in Mississippi and Alabama (eliminating Auburn and MSU presence)
4. Invade Baton Rouge. Columbia provides no strategic advantage; the Smokies block Eastern access to Knoxville. Knoxville is worthless at this time because they can't go anywhere. Sucks to be landlocked. The invasion will pull forces from Alabama through Lake Pontchartrain and go on land on Northshore. Ole Miss will sail down Mississippi River. Georgia will approach on the Mississippi river from the South

Yes, our War Information MInistry would handle things.
As someone said earlier though, Auburn's might give us a run for our money.
