whomever posted Tubby or Brad Stevens is an idiot...Shaka would be a longshot- but you have to at least make the call.
Most mid-major coaches make 500K-900K...major college assts less than that- we have the money to make a good hire

I haven't seen many good suggestions. Many are coaches who don't coach much, like Stansbury. Others are old. Others, like Smart and Stevens, will never happen. I don't know enough about college coaches to give a good name, honestly, but I trust Scott and company to make a good hire. There's no telling who they would go after, really. I expect it to be someone that will make some fans angry, but it will probably be someone who knows the game really well and just hasn't made a big name for himself yet. Whoever it is will be a better option that what we have.

Agreed.
It feels like we are seeing more and more of these successful mid major coaches staying put. Mark Few, Brad Stevens, Shaka come to mind.
Question while you are here. Is Stricklin going to be your next target if his hire isn't successful or was it something just personal against Stans? No flame.

Do you truly hate Stansbury? Would you shake his hand if he walked in a room? I sure as hell would. I bet Coach34 wouldn't even look him in the eye.
The guy might not be a competent coach, but does that warrant hatred from State fans? The guy loves MSU through and through, was drawing the 10th largest pay check in the SEC while being the SECs longest tenured coach and like it or not, he's our all time winning-est coach. I think he's earned to at the very friggin least, to not be hated by us.

Why would he move from Richmond to Starkville? You have basically the same history as VCU, and he has an easier schedule than he would in the SEC. Lateral move salary wise, worse place to live and work.
