Herman gets passed over by uga and gets another year of seasoning. Les canned in 2016 and we are golden.

Yeah...we Vandy fans shouldn't be talking. Our current HC was hired on basically the same premise as Kirby would be hired, and though he was very good at his job, Kirby (as you said) has even better credentials, given who he's studied under.
The assumption is that Kirby would hire a great OC to cover the flaws, something Muschamp never did (and something we need to do.)

I don't get it either. He has always been under Saban. I don't see why anyone top 25 job would hire him. I would even take Kiffin over him.

I don't get why this is a con in itself. Saying he's always been under Saban isn't just saying he's never been an HC, it's saying he's been learning from the best HC in the country. Not sure why that second point keeps getting ignored.
