Move Vandy over to us, then bring the "Ramblin Wreck" back home where she belongs

If you want a program that's comparable then Troy is a good choice. If you want an upgrade than FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Oklahoma, or Texas A & M would fit the bill.

I'd much rather replace a southern school with a similar southern school. Texas is not the south, completely different cultures, and I really think they would clash with the rest of the SEC.

Who would be good replacement for Auburn
what school is replacing USC in the Pac12?
Auburn isn't going anywhere other than probation

Cliff Note:
“This goes way beyond Cam. They say the FBI, while monitoring the corrupt Gambling mess in Montgomery, Alabama and also investigating the misappropriation of TARP funds by Colonial Bank, uncovered many, many things:
Such things include guaranteed winning slot machines for AU players at Milt’s (Colonial Board member, AU Booster) Casino, unmarked ATM cards issued to AU players from Colonial Bank (Bobby Lowder-AU Board Member and Booster; Pat Dye-Colonial Board member, AU employee and Booster), forgiven loans to families, friends, donors, etc.
If true, big time jail time, loss of SACS accreditation which means expulsion from the SEC, huge financial implications for AU, removal of Dye’s name from the field and so on.”
Widespread academic/financial fraud perpetrated by Auburn = loss of their accreditation = possibility to be expelled from the SEC.

OK, an Emerging Consensus:
1) after serving death penalty, Auburn goes to Conference USA
2) Georgia Tech goes to its rightful place in SEC East
3) Vandy moves to SEC West

I like that set up. The SEC East has perinniel gimme teams like Vandy and Ketucky. I'm tired of being the perinniel gimme in the West!

Lots of people suggesting Florida State...
Just as a little tidbit, the FSU athletic department has been sick of a perceived North Carolina/Duke/NC State/Wake Forest bias in the ACC media and offices for quite some time. The conference championships are almost always held in NC or Virginia, which makes travel a pain. Things have been so testy, the FSU womens' soccer coach decided not to even send his starters to the ACC championship, since it was held in Cary, NC, wanting to keep them fresh for the NCAA tournament.

Of course, talk about FSU joining the SEC would brew up a lot of hurt feelings from the early 1990's, as well as a rebirth of the accusations that Florida has never wanted FSU in the SEC.
