What does the SP stand for. I know what UAT is. Think that started back in the 90's when UAB was trying to get Bama to play them in football and may have even been started by UAB people.

I really think it was started by UAB fans (University of Alabama at Birmingham) when Bama refused to play them for years in basketball then they did play in the NIT and UAB won. Then Bama wouldn't play them in football (nothing to gain for Bama), so UAB fans/alum got pissed and coined the term and AU fans of course ran with it.

Actually it originated from Oklahomo Sooner fans who gave it to Corn Huskier fans many years ago. Some auburn fan stole it in 2003 and gave it to LSU.

I wish there was a better nickname that I could enjoy being called. Corndog means nothing to me about LSU, Louisiana, or Football. Gump is a great nickname. Jorts is a good one too. Come on SEC- get creative. I would much prefer coonass. At least it means something.
