its short and to the point which is why it sticks. I laugh at our corndog nickname. and florida is slowly but surely developing the Jorts nickname of course given by LSU fan.

While we are discussing Gump stuff and stereotypes...
I just noticed about an hour ago that the Vitamin Water "Energy" drink belittles the state pretty bad. It says something like "we can't make claims that it gave chuck from Alabama so much energy he was able to pull his truck out of something with his one good tooth".
That kinda pisses me off since I was born in Alabama and grew up there. Its ok if we make fun of stereotypes and smack talk, but I do not like crap like that on an advertisement on a bottle of a product distributed nationally.

I agree, it is pretty perfect and funny as nicknames go.

I don't think either nickname originated at Auburn.
All the message boards I know of refer to the other SEC school in the state as either UAT or SPUAT.
