These are the types of moves that can come back to bite you later in recruiting though.

He already has commitments from the top two players in the state of Alabama for the Class of 2011, so...

In a way, what's he's doing is creating a totally competitive environment kind of like USC. In practice you better bring your A game or you've got no shot at playing. Worse, you could lose your scholarship.

Exactly, which is why I have no problem with it. Scholarships are not a four year contract. It's one year. You don't produce, GTFO.

If it was right every coach in the country would be doing it.

Saban has said publicly that he's upfront with the parents and the recruit about the expectations/demands of the program.

I have to think that's why we haven't heard any players or parents that are upset about having to go elsewhere for playing time.

And if the name Saban stands for anything...it's honesty.

Lets be honest though - not much of major DI athletics is moral anymore.

Just look at the way they're both standing. Their posture totally sums up their personalities. Pete Carroll- hands in his pockets shows how laid back he is, yet allows him to play pocket pool without anyone noticing. And then you have Saban pulling a Mary Catherine Gallagher.

Total opposites, yet both very successful.

Few outside of Bama will admit it, but Saban is the best!

He's talked about on the rant endlessly because most fear him and want him to fail or move out of the SEC.

Got Saban? We do!
