I put more stock in NCs than the other two, but since E had both a higher win % and more CCs and just one fewer NCs, I put them ahead. If you're not careful using just NCs, Pittsburgh becomes better than a lot of top tier programs

Refreshing to have a stat thread that does not include Bama

LSU has 11 SEC CC's, no?
LSU will correct that for him this season.

Exactly. Yes, national titles are the goals, but they were so subjective back in the day, they should never be the lone determining factor.

A maybe TAMU or Mizz
Not A&M.
TAMC/TAMU:
Team T
53% Conference winning percentage
18 Conference Championships
1-3 Recognized National Championships*
*Claimed. 1939 is AP/almost unanimous and 1919 team was not only unbeaten but unscored upon. It was originally not claimed because A&M was pissed that the unbeaten/unscored upon 1917 team went unrecognized as champions. 1927 is the shakiest.

I guess you spoke too soon.

Are they all from the same conference? It's unfair to say an ACC team with a 60% conference winning percentage and 12 conference championships is just as impressive as a SEC team with the same numbers.

Well you left out notable accomplishments (awards, bowl wins, etc) that I would consider but I'll go:
1. UT
2. UGA
3. LSU
4. UF
5. AU

I guess sometimes friendly fire can be better

I would flip LSU and UGA, but I agree with the rest. Another championship for LSU, and I might move them ahead of UT. Granted that's assuming LSU wins one before UT, which at this point seems likely

LSU and UGA are very close historically IMO. I'll admit I'm being a homer but you could argue either way. I'm sticking with the rest of that list though

Same here. Prior to the 2000's it wouldn't even be close between UGA and LSU. Hopefully we can tie yall in CC's against yall this year.

imo
2. UT
3a. UGA
3b. LSU
4. UF
5. AU
Another 10 years of UT's current trend...they will be at 3 or 4.

Assuming the Vols are Team A, we have at the very minimum 2 national championships.

There's not enough seperation in the winning % as there is in NC's and Conference titles for me and since the ultimate goal is to win it all, the NC titles hold the trump card
