Dude is a has been now. He'd be hard pressed to beat Bert's SEC record these days.

None
With Herman looking better at Texas, OU, and OSU stable Arky cant recruit Texas or Ok, La is getting hammered by LSU, TCU, and Bama.
There just isn’t any talent to go there and make Arkansas a consistent winner

Malzahn....
Lets rank the 2013 hires...
1) Gus
2) Butch
3) Bret
At the time the Arkansas hire was seen as a home run. Got a coach from Wiskie with multiple Rose Bowls, etc.
Not sure why any good coach would want to go there. Not a strong recruiting base.

Leach would probably do as good as anyone could expect to accomplish at Arky. they will never be able to recruit top level consistently without clown level cheating and bama level protection. not happening.

Abdullah the butcher is the only answer.

You cruit the Memphis, St. Louis, KC areas to death. Lock all of your in state talent up. Hit the JUCO with reckless abandon. Then you add in some crutis from Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. Hell even look at Kansas for Olineman.

I'm terrified of Fat Bert. Y'all should keep him.

I hope it doesn't happen because it would hurt recruiting, but Miles would be a good fit there.

I don't want Mike Leach, Les Miles, and Frank Wilson at Arkansas

You have to make a footprint at somepoint

Which is why you recruit the other areas.

I won't disagree but there are plenty of 3 and 4* who have developed into high caliber players.
You also left out the JUCO ranks that can fill in deficiencies. There are very good players that go JUCO evey year.
