Our offense was predicated on wearing teams down by playing 2 squads but now we won't have enough bodies to do that. We lost:

1st platoon
Madden (graduated)
Qualls (early draft)
Portis (early draft)
Harris (graduated)

2nd platoon:
Anton Beard (arrested for counterfeiting)
Jacorey Williams (arrested for counterfeiting and assault, kicked off team)

Backup:
Dustin Thomas (arrested for counterfeiting)

New recruit:
Ted Kapita (signed, bad grades, never made it to campus)

So we lost 7 guys (5 if beard and Thomas can get out of federal forgery charges) and one of our 2 commits never made it to campus. We brought in a last-minute juco transfer plus a great player (Jimmy Whitt) but suffice to say, we are fricked this year.

Pretty minimally

2012: 4-14
2013: 5-13
2014: 6-12

Martin pretty much had to shake the etch-a-sketch of a roster after his first year and start all over again.

USC returns the vast majority of it's roster from last season minus only one starter who was a major contributor of any relevance.

Adding some athletic talent to the roster including McD AA Dozier Jr. should go a long way to replacing the lost starter. The roster received some substantial infusion of athleticism, length and size, and certainly talent. Inconsistencies last season kept USC from being a 20+ win team and a post-season tournament participant of some kind. Logic would say that with minimal improvements of consistency as well as improved scoring should make USC such a team.

The OOC schedule for this season drops off quite a bit from the tough one of last season. I can see USC going anywhere from 9-2 - 11-2 in OOC play depending on how the team does in the Paradise Jam Tournament. IMO we can get to 8-10 in SEC play, and flirt with 20 wins depending on what we do in the SECT.

So I'm saying 20 wins and a NIT appearance for USC this season....

I'm excited. Ive never had a player of this calibar on my team in my lifetime. Barely too young for Shaq and Chris Jackson. It should be fun. And goodluck to your team!

Doesn't sound like you have to much confidence in your football team.

Cool story bro. I guess there was some sort of Martin - Jones argument or comparison going on earlier in this thread, that you were a part of, and because I quoted a post of yours you think I'm still extending that argument? Sorry to disappoint you, but....

And "meh" situations pretty much describe our better basketball seasons for much of the past 30-40 years....

he's an alter, pay him no mind. Maybe he'll go back to the other boards.
