When fans of a program that just won a title hop off of cloud 9, completely unprovoked, to fire a random shot like this, they are subconsciously reliving a past trauma.
And in the case of the Ohio State fan, it’s a projection of their own fear. After losing arguably the greatest college QB of all time to the same conference that owns a 6-14-1 all time record against the buckeyes, they are desperate for a way to retaliate. It probably even goes back further, to their last Heisman winner, Troy Smith, getting his cheeks clapped by Florida’s defensive ends.
Maybe he can tell us all how it felt to piss away Joe Burrow then watch him set all time passing records, to watch Kyle McCord rewrite the Syracuse record books, and to lose Air Noland to South Carolina when, if your history is any indicator, he’ll probably end up being better than Sayin.
I’d rather be broke than pay 20 million for a roster that couldn’t beat Michigan.
