Punishments for antitrust violations include severe criminal fines up to $100 million for corporations, prison sentences up to 10 years for individuals, and massive civil or treble damages..

Oof.. sounds serious

Could trying to vote a founding member out of the SEC via a rushed vote, at a meeting they’re barred from attending make the argument to violate any Antitrust laws? Keep in mind that this organization makes billions of Dollars and the voted out member would experience serious financial damages.

quote:

When competitors or members of a multi-billion-dollar trade association, sports league, or joint venture conspire to expel a member to cause them economic harm, antitrust law views this conduct through the lens of a "concerted refusal to deal" (commonly known as a group boycott).

Its a moot point, remember? According to LSU they had no intention of being in that meeting anyways.

This is one reason why I'm kinda sorta hoping the SEC keeps this bogus federal case shite going. LSU could literally own the SEC.

Me too but unfortunately I expect the federal case to be dropped tomorrow with the FBI now getting involved.

I'm hearing they're also facing war crimes at the Hague.
