I wouldn't say off the hook. You would expect improvement. We will see what Chavis can do this year, if there isn't improvement then it's all on Sumlin.

so he doesnt get any credit for any of the success that has happened to a&m football because of shermans players, but is not off the hook for the failures because....

To answer the question honestly, we get a by(pass) week before option D, so I think we're going to be squeak by that one.

Success? Heisman winner and great O-Line left for him and he only manages to get a Cotton Bowl win. Chiz was able to win a NC with a Heisman winner and a mediocre defense.

A mediocre defense is light-years ahead of what they'll be working with under Sumlin.

and sumlin gets zero credit for that because he inherited it but the same doesnt apply for the defense that he inherited. it all makes sense now

Why is Bielema averaging 5 wins a season? Why does he suck?

Just said a few posts up that there should be improvement did I not? That was my way of acknowledging that Sumlin inherited a dumpster fire defense but by last year there should have been noticeable improvement, since he got rid of his DC and brought in Chavis there might have been a scheme mix match for what he wanted so this year there should be major improvement.

oh but the offensive improvement from year 1 to year 2 had nothing to do with kevin? only the lack of improvement on defense?

Why hasn't Sumlin improved his record instead of losing more games?

If my coach averaged 5 wins a season I would be ashamed.

I'm sad that you won't be around next year when Sumlin's record is even worse than this past year.
