There is a stretch of time from the early 80's to the late 2000's that (barring 3 or 4 years) shows that Bama cannot win by magically shouting Roll Tide or "got 13?".

pretty sure Bama didn't win much of anything in the 50s, 80s and was middle of the pack to unranked between 92 and 08.

don't get me started on that "ranking."
ETA: and yes, i'm picky when dealing with people who claim to be the end all be all of college football programs with nobody else even close. that kind of mentality better be backed up with some stellar fricking results.
