But LSU fans who are grasping for a way to get back in the NC picture are not. I think the most the NCAA might do in season, is step in and say, based on our investigation, we have enough information to declare Cam ineligible for the remainder of the season. I can almost gaurantee there won't be any vacation of AU wins during the season. This would require a hearing by the committee on infractions, which will not meet before the end of the season.

see, you're wrong here. Au knew he was not or potentially not eligible prior to u.g.a., therefore, they have to vacate at least that game.

look, i know you think because i'm an l.s.u fan i want harm to Au. All i can tell you is that isn't the case. it doesn't matter if i was an arizona st fan or lsu fan. you would not agree with this ruling.

i could agree with your analysis IF Au decided not to play him once they found out. However, that isn't what they decided to do. therefore, the win or wins have to be vacated.

According to a report from WSB-TV in Atlanta, the signal caller’s father, Cecil Newton, admitted to discussing with a former Mississippi State player the possibility of receiving money if his son signed on to play in Starkville. Cecil Newton did, however, maintain that cash never was exchanged and that no official at Mississippi State ever made a money offer.

If you read my post you would know, I said there won't be any wins vacated during the season. I am not saying there won't be wins vacated eventually. Also, the Atlanta report quoted a unnamed source that said Cecil admitted that to him. I am not saying it isn't true, just that Cecil did not admit it to any reporter directly, which is what people seem to think. The story was based on hearsay of an unnamed source. FWIW, I believe that Cecil did solicit money from MSU.

that's cool, i know my post comes accross as hating on Au. However, that isn't my intention or motive. I wish AU wasn't involved in this.

This is a bad egg that Au got involved with. Hell, i married one (bad egg) and had to get rid of it. It didn't happen w/o scars, though!

College football, s.e.c., Au, lsu, whomever, can not have these type people going around selling their children. I know it happens. However, when it happens, there has to be a swift and clear message. You can't let them skate.
