Nothing new.

UGA is no lock to win the East, that is for sure. My expectation is more of the same. Lots of talent with at least one heart breaking loss to a team that make us say, "if only" at the end of the year. My hope is that we buck the trend, win the East and take it Bama in the SECC. Either scenario is equllally likely. We definitely have some brigh spots and some not so bright spots.... Will Eason continue to develop? Will the OL have improved? Will a go to WR take charge? Most have said our D is solid which is a good foundation.

Opposing fans don't know how bad that o line was last season. They had to bring in a transfer from Delaware and he failed miserably in the SEC.
The line will actually have 3 seniors. One stud freshmen the media won't stop talking about and one big 6-4 330 rs freshmen that took the job since March. Maybe not a dominant group but will be much better than the previous.
The defense has studs on every level except for corner, which is a strong upperclass laden group. The fans are scared to place expectations this soon for Smart but everything is lining up with this roster.

This is the telling season for Smart after a lackluster initial season

Carolina has to recruit better to be a serious contender. Not seeing it yet.

What happens when South Carolina wins nothing, like they've done for a century?
Nobody with any sense or credibility is judging Smart after one year. He's not going to be on the hot seat this year unless it's a disaster.
