I dunno.
Every time we brought up that Florida wasn't invincible because they lost to freakin' Ole Miss, everyone reminded us Tennessee folk that Florida didn't see them coming and that they would be ready to lay a beatdown on us.
Maybe they just aren't that amazing.

I dont see that as acceptable with LSUs talent. Im fine with 1 down year out of 4 but not competing for sec titles every 4 years. In the 90s that was fine but since we have two titles i believe 3/4 years we need to be in the hunt for a sec title not always get the title game but be in the hunt. Then once every 4 years we need to cash in on a title shot. High expectations but we have the talent to do that imo. I realize we wont win the nc every 4 years but at least being a real threat to do it late in the season is good enough

Some people are clueless, they believe unless is throwing 300 yards, rushing 200, and winning by 20 every game something is wrong. The fan base as a whole has been spoiled beyond belief the last 9 years. Hell I remember when Saban had his 8-5 season no one was calling for his head because they had faith he would turn it around. With Les however it is completely different though it seems. I would have loved to play for Les rather than Saban he was a prick on the field but you had to respect him for what he accomplished.

I think it has to do with emotions and how saban handles press and things. Saban shows a pissed off attitude over every little thing except for his last game here. Les miles is perceived as goofy and to nice of a guy to rip into people so i believe this leads many to not trust him to fix things.

I will admit ive become spoiled but i think my expectations compared to our talent are reasonable

But remember it is the SEC, you have Georgia, Florida, Bama, LSU all of them are good teams. Now you have Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee all improving. It is not like in early 2000's and through the 90's where there was only 2 dominant teams. Now they have many dominant teams it just depends on when you play them. In today's SEC as long as LSU is in the discussion for SEC Championship I could accept 2 out of every 4 years being 8-5/9-4. That may make me seem less of a fan but the only game that is still a gimme in the SEC is Mississippi State and they are actually headed in right direction.

Of course they are reasonable. Now Beat Georgia in 2 weeks.

Dude I can tell you away from media/field Saban was a humble guy. I mean he is confident in his ability and that is what you want from a coach. yet when you talked to him man to man you could tell he really just loved the game. I think Les is the same way. It is an act in front of media and fans and they players see the fire and intensity at practice.

thats why i said competing for titles and being in the hunt. Im not saying in the title game 3/4 years but we should be in the race at least 3/4 years. If we dont show improvement when the beef of our schedule gets here we will be on the outside looking in for the 2nd straight year.

Florida is a great team but they have flaws just like everyone else. There is not 1 team in college football right now that is a finished product. This could have been Florida's hic-up game as every season a good team has a game they struggle against minor team.

i agree im just saying saban in front of the media and when the camera is on makes people feel confident bc he is all fired up and stuff. Les doesnt worry about perception of him and that might be causing more to not trust him.

And I understand that but Ole Miss/Bama/Auburn/Arkansas you have 4 teams that have improved their talent level and coaching level. This is not Florida of the 90's where it is a one pony show anymore. Any given year a different SEC team can win it. Parity is the name of the game now. It will only end if LSU moves into the ACC/Sun Belt/or Big East.

Tebow is the worst QB in the Nation. Even Sunbelt QBs are better.
There I am helping.

Les's problem is not media it is that he shows no fire on the sidelines. When things are going back he acts like it doesn't bother him. I loved the halftime UT interview a few years ago and you could see him upset and fired up. You just do not see that often. Does it have to be every game? No it doesn't but it would be nice to see some passion from the man on the sidelines.

Florida getting a new offensive coordinator and wanting Tebow to drop back and pass did not look good against UT. They were pretty much able to tee off on him and hit him many times.

I agree its not a one show pony anymore. Id still like to think we could at least compete 2/4 years and the 2nd down year be a 9 or 10 win season and at least one win vs a big conf team.
