I'll be honest I have never heard a song by Kendrick Lamar. Not trying to be edgy or cool.
I'll be honest, the only song I heard him "rap" was not even his own song. It was a damn Taylor Swift song. Actually isn't that ironic because shouldn't that fact alone make him lose all his rapper street cred?
