You're biased, and want to blame EVERYTHING pertaining to the virus on Trump!
In this case...Trump's administration screwed up the response. It would have been a bad hand no matter what but you can play a bad hand if you handle it well. Trump and his political plan of casting doubt on truth got in the way this time.
That being said...much of what is being suggested at this point by the administration is sound and they should deserve credit for pulling their heads out of the ostrich holes.
Simply look at Trump's tweets and you can see where he, in the early days of this, worked actively against the recommendations of his own medical professionals.

A level-headed and reasonable response.

If you honestly believe trump was using the term "hoax" to calm people rather than pass the buck then there is no point in arguing with you.
Here's some articles on the subject I found in 5 minutes of googling, so it's very clear you are being willfully ignorant. Trump's tweets are a lot more telling, but I know you already follow him on twitter.

Oh, and this last one is an opinion piece from a Republican:
LINK /

I read all the fake news links you posted, even the one from the vehement, Trump hating "Republican" which was overwhelmed by his contempt for Trump.
Did you notice that throughout them all, they were basically targeting Trump, but nearly all the actual alleged blame fell on people within the CDC.
I'll leave you with this.......why are ALL these links from left wing sources? Do you not read other views, or are those the only places you can find such slanted opinions for your retort?
There's obviously been missteps in the beginning (without that 20-20 hindsight) by people within the CDC, and/or other involved agencies, but to shower down the criticisms and accusations from the left on a President who, like all others, must depend on the words on the experts in matters such as this, I find petty, narrow minded and divisive.
EDIT: By the way, I don't even like Trump's personality. I find him abrasive, and obnoxious. I wouldn't walk across the street to drink a beer with him, BUT the presidential election is a popularity contest, and my political ideology lines up with him fairly well. The guy's done a helluva job for the last 3 years, even with the torches and pitchforks out the entire time, and the thought of Bernie or Joe being President makes me nauseous.

That's total CNN bullshite!
What he was publicly saying to begin with was meant to calm the public anxiety.
Using your logic here, This is Fox News BS?
Wow, what a productive Point you made. Crying about fake news again.

Looking at the ownership of the printed news and tv networks, I wouldn't go there.
Off the top of my head, I'd say The Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, the New York Post and The Washington Times. Magazines would include the National Review, The Weekly Standard and the American Spectator.
Go look there, and compare what you use now. Maybe somewhere in between you'll find the truth.
Also, I watch CNN and MSNBC along with FOX and the networks.

You would trash these same things if they criticized trump, or the feds response, in any way

And here are the 4 points again:
A) Scaling up diagnostic testing, which means start the mass-manufacture of the testing kits
B) Preparing hospitals, medical staff, etc. for the oncoming pandemic
C) crafting informative, ACCURATE public health messages
D) working with state-level authorities to make sure everyone was on the same page
None of this happened

All of these are right wing outlets just as much as my links were left wing. It's not like I linked Huffington Post or Vox. Politico is more centric than some of the ones that you listed.
For the record, there was also a WSJ article written by trump's ex-FDA commissioner, but that was behind a paywall so I didn't link it. If you actually read the Atlantic article, that's where a lot of their information leading to Trump's blame came from.

So move it to OT. Crisp wants to make this political.

I'd like to get off this political angle myself. It doesn't do any good at this point as the outbreak is already here.
Just wish people would stop burying their heads in the sand as they are the ones that are gonna spread it.
And yea, this didn't start out political. Some people are just take this whole outbreak as an indictment of his orangeness.

My problem with this thread is the fact that, as with everything, the left continues to make everything political and degrading to Trump. Most folks have just zoned out all the rhetoric and propaganda by now, but it's still ugly and negative, and that goes for BOTH sides.

I left this topic a few days ago because it's pretty obvious some people are politically motivated about the topic more so than it being about the actual virus.
