Well I just can't imagine they'd be silent about it if they knew the game wouldn't be played in Columbia, wouldn't you agree? Why is NOBODY ELSE talking about this except for LSU fans on this website?

to expound on that, the NFL and B1G entertained the idea last week in regards to this past weekends games. it is not like this is outside the realm of possibility. that said, I hope it is played in Columbia, if not for no other reason than it means the severity of this flooding has diminished.

you act as if there is a set in stone procedure for situations like this. the fact that this is a conference game adds that much more pressure to get the game played this weekend, however and wherever that may be. to my knowledge, usc and lsu do not share bye weeks, so that's out. the sec championship game is a week from the last game of the season. the selection committee picks the playoff teams a couple of days later, so you can't push back all that a week. the sec basketball tournament had to be played at georgia tech in front of a couple hundred people when a storm hit the ga dome. sometimes, fair or not, arrangements have to be made to get the games in when time is of the essence.

it's not like the schools or the sec can sit around till friday and hope things get better. they need to have a backup plan in place long before the game gets here
