So, you expect an alternate site to prepare for a game in one business day? Interesting.

Exactly. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it just really seems like LSU fans WANT this to happen.

you said this on page 2 when not a single LSU fan made it seem as though they wanted it to be moved. You've on the defensive since yesterday about this, for no reason at all.

Actually this was like the 10th thread about it and just happened to be the one that stuck for some reason.

Y'all started talking about it on Sunday and couldn't wait to do so

like i said earlier, a couple of south carolina fans may kill themselves if this game is ultimately moved to another venue, wherever that may be. might be time to step away from this, take a nap, have a drink (or 12), and relax.

Because of the other 4 threads that were started about it.

yall are ridiculous.

I get that you're going through a hard time right now, but no one in this thread even insinuated that they were excited about the game being moved. Choc even suggested an LSU fan remove the lol emoticon on page 1.

Get a fricking grip.

If they make the decision early Thursday to move it thats two and it wouldn't be without notice. They are already reaching out to see where the game can be played if it needs to be moved

In the region around Columbia, as many as 40,000 homes lacked drinking water, and Mayor Steve Benjamin said 375,000 water customers will likely have to boil their water before drinking or cooking for "quite some time."

The power grid was returning to normal after nearly 30,000 customers lost electricity. Roads and bridges were taking longer to restore: Some 200 engineers were inspecting about 470 spots that remained closed Tuesday, including a 75-mile stretch of Interstate 95.

Some drivers had a hard time accepting the long detours around standing water. In Turbeville, Police Lt. Philip Wilkes stood at a traffic stop, telling motorists where they could go to avoid flooded roads and dangerous bridges.

"Some people take it pretty good," Wilkes said. "Then you've got some of them, they just won't take no for an answer. We can't part the waters."

“Our intentions are to stay on schedule and play here in Columbia, but it’s not a definite,” Gamecocks athletics director Ray Tanner said Tuesday. “While that planning is underway, it is not a definite. We will continue to monitor the infrastructure that is necessary to have a football game and consider hopefully within the next 24-36 hours whether we will play here.”

Still looks like they are leaning towards hosting

If it can't be held in SC, and/or it can't be rescheduled, cancel it.

SEC games are never canceled. The game will be played.

anner said Williams-Brice Stadium field withstood more than a foot of rain from the weekend storms and is in good condition for players to use. There were some small puddling of water in a couple of areas, but nothing that would prevent people from attending if the game remains on track to be played in town.

"We've been spared," Tanner said. "We're in pretty good shape as far as that goes."

The game won't be in Columbia. The decision already occurred yesterday. The only thing left is that the USC folks want to find a location as close as possible to Columbia. They are on the clock for it to be held in BR and have to decide by 5 pm today if it's going to be here. They have known this since last night. Honestly , the cause of the disaster is irrelevant. We have been through this so many times in the last 10 years that all of our local and statewide EP folks and decision makers know the drill. Yours do not, unfortunately, which has put a lot of people in a tough situation. Hopefully they will make the final decision in a short period of time so another venue can prepare for the game. I can tell you rt now , if BR is the location a lot of people will be upset bc it will involve reduced attendance due to the delay in the SC decision. There are a lot of logistics involved with tickets, transportation, concessions, first responder and public safety personnel that simply can't be worked out on 3-4 day notice.

well I didn't see those, and it doesn't matter anyways. We are discussing this thread. Every other fan base ITT actually cited other potential venues, while SC fans got defensive as frick. It's like yall want us to wish ill will on you.

We don't. We've been there. We were simply wondering what other venues would potentially be used. The backlash now that it's likely going to happen is your own damn fault for being such a bitch in a perfectly reasonable thread.
