This is really what it will come down to. And the leak in the dam was stopped this morning (still need a more permanent fix though).

I'm curious as well. Just put it in Charlotte or Atlanta if it comes to that. No big deal.

I'm assuming its more likely to stay here than be moved
0% chance it's happening in columbia. there is too much liability for the city.

The thing I'm wondering about is the USC team. Are they able to get their regular practices in? Are they all back on campus?

There's ZERO liability for the city since the university owns the stadium....
And for what it's worth, I lived through Hugo (in fact I was in Charleston) That year Citadel moved our game the week after Hugo to Williams Bryce....

Why are you being so defensively douchey in here? Im sorry
Don't be sorry. Frick him and frick Cockoporomus. No one wanted the game moved because that is an extra heaping of shite on an already shitty situation for the people in SC. BUT Shite people like these are going to make me not feel one ounce of guilt for being happy if the game is moved.

biggest issue right now is having the necessary emergency personnel available for the game.
Obama just sent 1300 national guardsmen to SC for relief, that kind of tells me they need all the help they can get right now from that group of people, and taking several hundred of them away to monitor traffic and drunks at a football game would be ridiculous waste of resources which are in short supply at the moment.

Yea I think we missed yesterday's practice but we're back on schedule.

“Our intentions are to stay on schedule and play here in Columbia, but it’s not a definite,” Gamecocks athletics director Ray Tanner said Tuesday. “While that planning is underway, it is not a definite. We will continue to monitor the infrastructure that is necessary to have a football game and consider hopefully within the next 24-36 hours whether we will play here.”
Seems higher than 0%. Theres still another day or two to determine if the water is fixed and if there is enough personnel to handle the game

God you people are dense.
If the game is moved, the game is moved. LSU fans ITT seem to WANT this game to be moved and are happy about it. Like it's an accomplishment that they were right. Being condescending and acting like we should listen to y'all because y'all have been there before. Go frick yourself.

My frustration comes from LSU fans claiming to know for a fact that the game won't be in Cola because Katrina granted them superpowers when in fact they are just speculating and the decision isn't even close to being made yet.

You keep saying "superpowers" but it's not funny. You really look like a complete retard on here.
FWIW, LSU game day staff has already been contacted to check their availability for this weekend.

we made suggestions of the possibility of the game being moved, giving reasons why we felt this was a possibility. y'all threw hissy fits and said we were dumb and didn't know shite because we don't live in columbia. it's mind blowing how defensive y'all got for no reason whatsoever. a couple of y'all have since apologized for being dicks. others, well, you refuse to let it go for whatever reason

Carolina fans....hoping it stays in Columbia if possible, but have yall heard any updates from reliable sources yet on what it's looking like the outcome will be? They're obviously waiting it out until tomorrow, but I was just curious if officials were leaning one way or another as of right now.

Yep, that's exactly what happened.
