Agreed, but I would argue he was the best coach who would come to Arkansas, and turn our program around from HDN. BP has now moved on, and the next coach can build on what he started.

That is why it does not matter what you think gator princess. Did Petrino every lose to SC while at Arkansas? Hell we own them since we have been in the league and if it was not for us being in the west this past year with the 2 best teams in the nation then we would have been playing for a national title one of the last 2 seasons.
Jeff Long had a chance to make this into a positive instead he just wanted to stay the course. Said it once will say it again we are screwed.

Come on, that logic is so flawed. If South Carolina had been in the West the last two years they would have never finsihed higher than 4th. If Arkansas had been in the East the last two years they probably would have won it both years.
That's like saying Arkansas was a better team than Florida in '02 just because we made it to the SEC Championship Game and Florida didn't. Everyone in the SEC knows that wasn't true that year.

You have some good points. Though if you look at overall career Spurrier still wins. Spurrier is an excellent coach. I mean look what he got out of a high Garcia.

BP put Arkansas in a much better position than he got it in. There's opportunity to keep building, even with this big bump on the road. I would have laughed at y'all more, but as a Saints fan, I'd be a total dick to laugh at anyone's offseason woes. Arkansas fans just need to take a deep breath and start working towards the future.

If this was a long term hire then yes it would suck. But thankfully it's just 10 months
