Meh...they've got three hosses...2/3 games this past weekend they struggled to put up runs. The day they did put up 7, Arkansas put up 14.
LSU has a chance to sweep.

Anfernee Grier dominated us last year. He almost single handedly won the games we played against them. Hoping its different this go around, but idk why it would be.
Auburn is frustrating this year. They have the bats to beat anyone handedly and just haven't. Only game I haven't felt confident in was the last inning against arky on saturday.

Oh look, hawgeye only looks at box scores and has no idea what he is talking about, what a surprise.

Had enough of him two weeks ago. We were lucky to take 2 of 3.
They are a pretty good team. Our pitching is pretty good and Auburn gave them a workout.
I like that new manager. If Auburn doesn't get frustrated they will cause some a lot of teams some difficulties.

Need to stay healthy and we'll have a good year.

USC coming in at #2 in Collegiate Baseball. I don't disagree, but damn that was quite a jump from 20 2 weeks ago and 14 last week.

The jumps are all b/c we're sweeping ranked opponents. I'd be thrilled to just take 2of3 @ Vandy this weekend though. However, we first have a tough midweek matchup against a really solid CofC team.

Ummm...no. I just watched an entire 3 game series involving Auburn.
Get past the 3 hosses in the order without damage and AU is beat. Add in the fact that at some point, the AU defense will make a critical error a good team will capitalize on and can put up crooked numbers.

No you didn't, because if you did you wouldn't be making idiotic statements like this.

Our top two guys are leading the conference in hitting, numbers three and four are both hovering around .350 and even our 9 hole hitter is hitting .330 on the year. Our hitting this weekend was just extremely untimely which is why you build a team off of pitching instead of hitting. We left 14 men on base on Friday and 12 each on Saturday and Sunday.

Its not idiotic. I saw Auburn. You get around the three guys without any damage, and you beat Auburn. Its simple.
Its the reason outside of game 2, Auburn only scored 1 and 2 runs against Arkansas.
Grier and Palacios, 2 of your hoss hitters had 6 hits yesterday. The rest of the team had 4. Hence, if you don't let the AU hoss hitters hurt you, then you can beat Auburn.
In the first two games of the series, Grier and Palacios went a combined 3 for 17.
Again...if you don't let the AU hoss bats hurt you, then you beat AU.
As a reference...those two went 13 for 19 in games 1 and 2 against aTm the week before.

Yea, and your top two guys bat 1 & 2 in your order. Which is why, if you don't let your hoss hitters get on base, you beat Auburn. Your 3 & 4 hitters can hit however they want, but if the hosses do not get on base, they can't be driven in.

Two midweek cupcake games plus a weekend series @ the Knoxville trailer park means we probably won't move much this week either if we do what we're supposed to. Kind of a put up or shut up week for us.

Just win and you'll keep moving up. Doesn't matter who, you're in the SEC and people around you won't all keep winning.

And the rest of the team went 18/52 and we should have beat the shite out of you in game 1 and were competitive in game 2.

Leaving 14 and 12 men on base are why you only score 1 and 2 runs against akry. 2 guys don't get left on base 12 times a game on their own.

Hogs were fortunate to get all 3 against them and it won't shock me when they "surprise" some SEC teams the rest of the season.
We were lucky they stranded so many runners. 14, 12, 12 = 38 LOB
Game 1 - 2 runs on 9 hits, 9 walks, 2 HBP,
Game 2 - 7 runs on 12 hits, 7 walks, 1 HBP
Game 3 - 1 run on 10 hits, 3 walks, 1 HBP

The reason Auburn had men on base is because Arkansas walked 19 batters over the course of three games.
Friday night alone, Arkansas walked 9 batters. Still, your one and two guys were shut down, thus no runners driven in.
As Ive said over and over again...as those guys go, so does the AU offense. Its not rocket surgery.
