Right, but they base our O from last year and not the "pasties" LSU has played this year. Though their D being elite is based on their pasties from "this" year.

Confusing, I know.

Who has been sacked a few times by NONE ELITE talent at sub par schools in this new offense you are beginning to brag about.

I'm speaking numbers and facts and you are speaking in mythical terms.

Guice is an ELITE talent.

Who stated anything different? So let's talk about why his average per carry is down over 2.5 yards per carry against NON ELITE talent at sub par schools?

quote:

We have Elite players on the Oline.

Who, by evidence, is allowing sacks and less yards per carry to non elite talent at sub par schools.

We have Elite players on the DLine and FINALLY have elite LB's.

That's awesome sauce! Now explain the match ups that result in LSU stopping a massive running QB who now has 2 extra threats that they didn't have last year..... TEs and bigger RBs.

And Jeffery Simmons is a future top 5 pick at nose guard. He's your answer.

LOL.. remember, they lost to South Alabama last year.

I'm not saying they will finish in the top 10. They will finish in the top 30.

That's a huge improvement.

It's not confusing at all. You just want to look through purple colored glasses.

IS the design of your new offense.. the philosophy to lower yards per carry and allow sacks??

This is the argument you are trying to make.....

Be careful. You are going to cause some damage asking them to use logic.

Numbers and facts lol. OK. SO what are you saying then? MSU is going to sack us 10 times or some shite? We have a young Oline. No one said we didn't.

YOU are the one bragging you guys haven't given up one yet playing sisters of the poor. I mean sure, dont be concerned about our front 7 or anything.

I am not sure what point you are trying to make. Guice is the same Guice. We pulled him after the 1st series in the 3rd last night. He could of had 250+ if we wanted. Isn't that your excuse for giving up all those rushing yards to La Tech? You put in backups?

Guice is a PROVEN SEC back. Use whatever numbers you want to make you feel better.

By NFL scouts... Period.

I dont know, go watch what our guys returning did to the Heisman winner who is a BETTER RUNNER...

Well we have ran like 16 different plays total on offense so those numbers are pretty impressive. The fact that we are able to sustain 13 play drives consistently with what is obviously a small percentage of the playbook is impressive to me considering we were 3 and out Kings last year and our defense was on the field for ridiculous amounts of time.

They will get after your QB. If you are allowing lesser talent, then you should expect MSU to do a bit more.

No, that's a 2 way street. It's reasonable to think LSU will get to the QB. But MSU is better designed to handle that. Their reads and now TEs gives them an out.

That's the point. Sometimes it's not just about the talent, it's the schemes.

I'm talking average yards per carry, and you equate that to total rushing yards. LOL

I don't have and excuse for them putting in their 3 and 4th string defensive players. I have facts. That's all I am talking about.

The facts with that are way different with the facts of yards per carry.

Fact, MSU will not put in 3rd and 4th string guys. WE both know that. Would that not mean we look at what the first and second string guys did? Sure it does. The fact is their defense starters and subs got what they got while in.

Fact, Guice got what he got while in the game. It has an average yard per carry.

In other words, we can push aside everything except what the starters did and compare.

True.... but the last time I viewed a game, a RB production was contingent on more than just his ability. Direct snap to him and tell the center to not block and I assure you it will be PROVEN he can't run.

Using your logic, he should still be averaging 7.8 yards per carry. He's not. So he is no longer as PROVEN?

Not according to the NCAA, ESPN, etc etc...

Fitz is the top returning producing QB in the NCAA.

Charleston SouthernTop 15 FCS team = Chattanooga Top 15 FCS team

BYU = Louisiana Tech

So stop acting like you have played better team than MSU.

You realize this is the week that Canada starts to reveal his hand some, right? Also Aranda shut down Jackson. I'm not scared of any QB that can run after that.

31-10 LSU

If you are going to reply to me and use quotes, use my quotes. Not someone else.

We have given up 2 sacks. WTF are you smoking? BYU has a better D than anything MSU has faced.

OK, well you are facing a top 5 pick in Key. SO whatever. Use your thoughts. See how well that plays out Saturday. We have one of the best secondary's in the league.
quote:

And he averaged over 6.8 yards this last game. Your point? BYU has a better D than Anything MSU has faced. I mean, while we are stating facts.

And the FACT remains LSU as an entire team (includes the subs) has given up less than 100 yards rushing TOTAL.

Not the same style of offense and Jackson was not the top producing QB in the NCAA last year.

Fitz passed for 2,423 yards and 21 TDs but, more impressively, rushed for 1,375 yards and 16 TDs. Only Derrius Guice had more rushing yards among SEC players.

Lol at the delusion on this board. State gave up over 300 yards of offense and 21 points. I'm not knocking the result but to pretend that the defense is so impenetrable or that you even have the same personnel as LSU is a joke. Even at home, state will not be favored. Why do you think that is?
