Snakey could not afford for his "golden child" to be blown out like was happening. Snakey and UTrans are the perfect fit for one another.
If anything, history has shown that the SEC officials have an inherent bias in favor of the conference front runner and the team most likely to compete for the national championship. Going into that game, it was Texas. In recent years, it has been Alabama. That doesn't mean anyone is paying off the officials.

Texas' game day experience is very corporate. It's nothing like what you'll find at LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, UGA, etc. It's more like an NFL game than a college football game, but part of that is because their campus is located just north of downtown Austin. People tailgate in surface parking lots and parking garages.

I agree, but I feel the same about Aggie, OU and Mizzou. I also initially felt the same way about Arky, but they've settled in nicely with the rest of the SEC. I understand wanting more revenue for the conference, but is it worth it if ends up being bad for the charter member schools?
